Payment & Missed Lesson Policy

Payment

• Monthly payments are to be made at or before the first lesson of each month.
• The monthly payment is based on an academic year of 30 lessons, and is divided evenly between the 9 months from September to May inclusive. The tuition is the same regardless of the number of lessons scheduled each month.
• Tuition is based on enrollment; there are no credits or refunds for student-missed lessons. If any teacher-missed lessons cannot be made up during the designated flex weeks, then credit will be given towards the year’s final tuition payment.
• There is an annual enrollment fee payable when registering. This fee goes towards the cost of lesson books and materials for the year, studio recital, and reserves your spot in the schedule.

Missed Lessons

• Flex Weeks: Two flex weeks (June 7 and 14) are set aside for teacher-missed make-ups. Students will receive a bonus lesson for any of these weeks that aren’t utilized for teacher absence(s).
• Student-Missed Lessons: If a student will be missing their lesson for any reason a parent should inform the teacher with as much notice as possible. If they wish, we can then organize a video lesson (asynchronous) or online lesson (at the usual time.).
• In case of inclement weather or other unpredictable issues that arise, private lessons will take place online. Buddy lesson students will either receive a longer private lesson in lieu of buddy time, or buddy time will be made up during flex weeks.
• Please arrive exactly 5 minutes early: if a student is late this simply takes time out of the lesson, i.e., the lesson will start when the student arrives and will still finish at the usual time.

Termination of Lessons

• In the event a student needs to discontinue lessons, one month’s notice is required.
